Abstract:
The present invention allows images to be easily transmitted to an artificial retina in a non-contacting manner. An artificial eye 10 comprises: an image-capture unit 16 that captures images in the direction of the field of view of a user 11, which is an organism; a light-emitting unit 19 that emits light indicating images captured by the image-capture unit 16; and an artificial retina 20 that is implanted in the user 11, said artificial retina 20 receiving laser light from the light-emitting unit 19 and transmitting to the optic nerve 45 of the user 11 information corresponding to the light-reception result.
