Provided are an atomizer and an aerosol generating device. In an atomizer structure, by means of a rotating piece circumferentially rotating, the rotating piece and a movable piece form a spiral transmission mechanism, which can drive an atomization core to move in an axial direction, causing a first e-liquid inlet hole on the atomization core to be able to be blocked by a blocking piece, thereby causing an e-liquid storage cavity to be isolated from an atomization cavity, and an objective of implementing a repeatable e-liquid core separation operation being achieved. Moreover, utilizing a means of rotational manipulation to cause the atomization core to move in the axial direction ensures the stability of an e-liquid core separation operation, and an adverse effect on the stability of the internal structure of the atomizer is prevented; and the problems in existing technology where an e-liquid core separation assembly has a complex structure and poor stability, causing an inability to maintain stability during an operation and control process of e-liquid core separation, and same being prone to affect the stability of the internal structure of an atomizer are all amply solved.
