Abstract:
An audio packet vanishment concealing device (1) compensating deterioration of audio quality caused by vanishment of an audio packet in an audio packet communication system (100). The audio packet vanishment concealing device (1) includes a detection unit (33b) for detecting vanishment of an audio packet and outputting information on the interval of the vanishment, an estimation unit (39) for estimating an audio characteristic of the vanishment interval by using at least one of the audio packet received prior to the vanishment interval detected by the detection unit (33b) and the audio packet received after the vanishment interval, a pitch signal generation unit (33e) for generating a pitch signal having the audio characteristic estimated by the estimation unit (39), and a vanished packet generation unit (33f) for outputting as a vanishment concealing packet the pitch signal generated by the pitch signal generation unit (33e) given by the audio characteristic estimated by the estimation unit (39). Thus, it is possible to suppress a strange sound caused by pitch cycle inconformity and mute feeling caused by signal power attenuation, to reduce deterioration of naturalness and continuity caused by audio packet vanishment, and further improve the audio packet vanishment concealing ability at the audio rise part or the like.
