Abstract:
This authentication system comprises: an image acquisition means for acquiring an image that includes a facial authentication region through which a person-to-be-authenticated passes as they head toward an entry restricted area; a facial authentication means for authenticating the face of the person-to-be-authenticated, on the basis of the acquired image; and a display means which is disposed above the head of the person-to-be-authenticated and/or near their feet, and which displays the results of facial authentication after the person-to-be-authenticated has entered the entry restricted area-side of the facial authentication region.
