Description:
DESCRIPTION AN AUTOMATIC SPEED CONTROL ADAPTER

Technical Field The present invention is related to an automatic speed control adapter that replaces control handles used as different types in each vehicle having a CAN communication (Controller Area Network) protocol with different brands; wherein said adapter can carry out the communication between the steering arm and the engine which have been developed for different engine types and wherein it can perform all of the mentioned functions using a mutual control handle.

State of the art (Prior Art)

There are several technical problems regarding the prolonged usage of cruise control systems found in vehicles. These technical problems are directly related to the different speed control adapters used in vehicles. Due to this, this issue has been subject to studies for many years in order for said speed control adaptors to be used in all vehicles.

The speed control adapter found in vehicles, is a safety means that enables the vehicles to travel at a certain speed and provides connection and communication between the steering arm controller and the engine. Nowadays a different type of automatic speed control adapter and different steering arm is present in the vehicles with automatic cruise control systems. As different types of adapters and controller arms are used for each vehicle and different models of said vehicles, it is more difficult to find the technical components in case of breakdowns. And in this case it is known that the cruise control system is more costly to produce for the producer and is an expensive system to use for the user. Various studies are being carried out in order for a mutual controller arm to be used by means of a standardized automatic speed control adapter in vehicles having different engine types so as to eliminate the above mentioned problems.

In the inventions with publication numbers US5058698A and CN202911558U, within the known state of the art, the application of automatic cruise control systems to modern day vehicles and the technical hardware used when this system is installed to said vehicles are described. However in the automatic cruise control systems that is tried to be described by means of the above mentioned documents, the fixed speed of the vehicle has been obtained using different equipments. In this case said automatic cruise control systems also fail to satisfy practicality and suitable pricing. Moreover as different cruise systems shall be used for each vehicle and each model of said vehicles, the production costs of said systems also increase. The invention titled an automatic speed control adapter which has been described in detail below has been mounted on vehicles. And this invention can produce the speed commands that the engine needs by using the CAN (controller area network) communication line with a single control handle for different types of vehicles having different engine options.

The brief description and aims of the Invention

The aim of this invention is to provide the adjustment of the desired speed of the engine via the communication line, using the automatic control adapter and mutual control handle in vehicles having different engine options.

It has been aimed by the invention;

• For the automatic speed control adapter, to be mounted to the command handle using a single screw and nut,

· For the automatic speed control adapter to be applied to vehicles having different types of engine options by means of a mutual control handle,

• For the automatic speed control adapter to operate even under low voltages that may arise,

• For the mutual control handle that has been designed for all vehicles to not necessitate the usage of a different type of control handle by virtue of its design,

• To reduce the costs by performing a standardized production for all vehicles (especially mass transport vehicles), having different engine options by means of an automatic speed control adapter and mutual control handle and to provide the invention at a lower price to users. Definitions of the figures describing the invention

The drawings and descriptions thereof that are used in order to further describe the automatic speed control adapter developed according to the invention have been supplied below. Figure 1: Is the general view of the automatic speed control adapter having a plastic body.

The definitions of the components/ sections/ parts that form the invention

The parts and sections within the drawings used in order to further explain the automatic speed control adapter developed according to the present invention have each been numbered and the references of each number has been listed below.

1. Automatic speed control adapter

Detailed description of the Invention

The automatic speed control adapter used for different engine options for all vehicles (having a CAN-Controller area network communication protocol), especially for mass transport vehicles, and communication line and the mutual control handle are equipments that ensure that the engines reach the desired speed.

The problems such as difficulty in finding the technical equipments in case of any kind of technical breakdown that may arise in time, because of the usage of different types of control handles for each vehicle or different types of adapters in cruise control systems for each brand and model of a vehicle nowadays, and due to the non practicality as each brand of vehicle would have a different technical hardware are eliminated by means of the present invention. The automatic speed control adapter (1) that is described according to the present invention in Figure 1, is a device that provides the connection and communication between the steering arm and the engine in especially mass transport vehicles such as busses. The most important characteristic of the automatic speed control adapter (1) is that it converts the speed information set over the control handle mounted to the steering equipment by means of the CAN (Controller Area Network) communication line into a format that can be detected by the engine and by this means it can be used in all vehicles by utilizing a mutual control handle in vehicles having different engine options. The automatic speed control adapter (1), can easily be mounted to all vehicles due to its ergonomic design and can also be mounted to the control handle using a single screw and nut. The automatic speed control adapter (1) is electromagnetically compliant due to its plastic cover and input filters and is suitable to operate precisely under loud noise environments; and can continue to operate in low voltages that could occur during unexpected conditions. Moreover the automatic speed control adapter (1) can be applied to both left and right hand driven vehicles having a CAN (Controller Area Network) communication protocol.
