Abstract:

1-Sulfo-2-oxoazetidine derivatives represented by the following general formula (I):$(6,)$(wherein R1 represents an optionally acylated or protected amino group, X represents a hydrogen atom or a methoxy group, and R4 represents an azido group, a halogen atom, or a group of$(5,)$or -S-S-R5 (wherein R5 represents an organic residue, and n represents 0, 1 or 2), and process for their preparation according to the following scheme:$(12,)$(wherein R2 represents an acylated or protected amino group, R3 represents an acylated amino group, and R1 and R4 are the same as defined above).
