Abstract:
In a direct backlight device to be used for a display device, a light source unit (2), which has a lamp (22) in a case (21) whose upper plane is open and inner circumference plane is a light reflecting plane, is provided to be taken out and put in from a side plane of the housing (1). From the viewpoint of further facilitating attaching and removing operation of the lamp (22), it is preferable that a connector (24) and a connector (15) are connected and the lamp (22) is supplied with power by forming the connector (24) on a side plane of the case (21), forming the connector (15) on an inner side wall, which is of the housing (1) and faces the side plane of the case (21) when the light source unit (2) is inserted into the housing (1), and by inserting the light source unit (2) into the housing (1).
