Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a ball screw having enhanced durability and a structure whereby a screw shaft and a nut satisfy the required performance, a method for manufacturing the same, and a power steering device and a method for manufacturing the same. This ball screw is characterized by having: a nut which comprises a steel-made base material and in which female threads are formed in the inner circumferential surface thereof; a screw shaft comprising a steel-made base material, the screw shaft being assembled with the nut, and male threads facing the female threads being formed in the outer circumferential surface thereof; and a plurality of balls arranged between the female threads and the male threads; the surface of the nut in contact with the balls and the surface of the screw shaft in contact with the balls each having a carburized layer, and the carbon concentration in the carburized layer of the nut being higher than the carbon concentration of the carburized layer of the screw shaft.
