Abstract:
A base station according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with a control unit which performs a process for transmitting both a burst signal, which includes data or a control signal, and a discovery reference signal, which includes a reference signal and/or a synchronization signal, in a specific frequency band shared by a plurality of operators and/or a plurality of communication systems. If, after the initiation of the transmission of the burst signal, it is found that the period when the discovery reference signal is to be transmitted is within the period when the burst signal is to be transmitted, then the control unit performs a process for transmitting the discovery reference signal during the period when the burst signal is to be transmitted.
