Abstract:
The present invention provides a battery module comprising: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of pouch-type battery cells and metal plates are stacked in the width direction thereof; a U-shaped frame having open upper portion and front and rear portions, and accommodating the battery cell stack; a pair of end plates covering the front and rear portions of the U-shaped frame; and a top plate covering the upper portion of the U-shaped frame, wherein the structure of the battery module has an improved venting passage and prevents heat propagation.
