Abstract:
Provided is a battery pack comprising: a plurality of cell modules, each of the cell modules embedding a plurality of battery cells; and a battery maintenance system, which transmits a control signal related to charging to at least one of the plurality of cell modules based on information on the state of battery cells received from the plurality of cell modules, and which controls the current supplied to the plurality of cell modules from an external charger, based on the battery state information, wherein the plurality of cell modules are connected to the external charger, which simultaneously charges a predetermined portion of the embedded battery cells and individually charges the remaining portion of the embedded battery cells according to a control signal, in order to rapidly and fully charge the battery pack without a cell-balancing process.
