Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a binder composition for secondary battery electrodes that has excellent binding properties and exhibits excellent rate characteristics and cycle characteristics in secondary batteries. This binder composition for secondary battery electrodes contains: a first particulate polymer having a degree of electrolyte swelling from 400 mass% to 900 mass% and a glass transition temperature from -60°C to -15°C, inclusive; a second particulate polymer having a degree of electrolyte swelling greater than 100 mass% but at most 200 mass% and a glass transition temperature from -10°C to 30°C, inclusive; and water.
