Abstract:
Disclosed is a brake control device that is capable of combined brake control and anti-lock break control and can perform anti-lock break control even if the voltage of power supplied to an electric pump decreases. The disclosed brake control device is provided with: a front-wheel fluid-pressure circuit that controls the pressure of a brake fluid supplied to a front-wheel braking unit; a rear-wheel fluid-pressure circuit that controls the pressure of a brake fluid supplied to a rear-wheel braking unit; and an electric pump that pressurizes said brake fluid. The brake control device is capable of combined brake control and can also perform anti-lock brake control for the front-wheel braking unit and/or the rear-wheel braking unit. In combined brake control, when either the front-wheel braking unit or the rear-wheel braking unit brakes, the other unit brakes in tandem. The brake control device has a normal-voltage mode, in which either combined brake control or anti-lock brake control is executed when the power supplied to the brake control device is at or above a first voltage, and a low-voltage mode, in which combined brake control and/or anti-lock brake control is executed in a limited manner when the power supplied to the brake control device is at or above a second voltage that is lower than the aforementioned first voltage. If it has been determined that the voltage of the power supplied to the brake control device has fallen below the first voltage, the brake control device switches from the normal-voltage mode to the low-voltage mode.
