Abstract:
A brake operating mechanism for a motor tricycle includes a front pull rod (8) attached to a pedal, two rear pull rods (4) attached to two brake drums for rear wheels, and a rotating pull rod (3) installed on a frame. A rotating arm (1) which is in the middle of the rotating pull rod (3) is connected with the rear end of the front pull rod (8). Pull arms (5) on both ends of the rotating pull rod (3) are respectively connected with two rear pull rods (4) on the left and right. The rotating pull rod (3) freely passes through a hole-groove (12) in a pull rod mount below a left beam (11), a hole-groove (10) in a hanging arm (9) below a transverse beam and a hole-groove (12) in a pull rod mount below a right beam in turn. The hole-groove (10, 12) is a slide hole or a slide groove which can allow the rotating pull rod (3) to move back and forth. The brake mechanism can be easily installed and the tightness of the brake on the left and right side can be adjusted automatically. The failure of the brake on single side can be avoided, so the motor tricycle is safe to use.
