Title:
BROADBAND LIGHT-EMITTING POLYMERIC DIODES (PLED)
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2002045185
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a novel polymeric light-emitting diode (PLED) comprising: (i) a transparent electrode serving as an anode; (ii) a metal electrode serving as a cathode; (iii) an organic light-emitting two-layer system and, optionally; (iv) at least one hole transport layer, whereby the organic light-emitting two-layer system (iii) is comprised of a layer made of a red-emitting polymeric material and is comprised of a layer made of a blue-emitting electron-transporting polymeric material, with the provision that the layer made of the red-emitting material is located on the transparent anode or on one of the optionally available hole transport layers. The invention also relates to a method for producing said polymeric light-emitting diode (PLED).
