Abstract:
A broken wire detection device (100) and method, relating to the technical field of hydraulic engineering. The broken wire detection device (100) comprises an excitation coil (110), a detection coil (120) and a processor (130); a detection signal input end of the processor (130) is connected to the detection coil (120); the excitation coil (110) and the detection coil (120) are respectively located at two sides of a longitudinal section of an inner wall of a pipeline (200) to be detected, a conductive closed structure is formed in each annular direction of said pipeline (200), an axis of the excitation coil (110) is parallel to an axis of said pipeline (200), and an axis of the detection coil (120) is perpendicular to the axis of said pipeline (200); the excitation coil (110) is used for generating an alternating magnetic field according to an alternating electromagnetic signal, and said pipeline (200) in the alternating magnetic field generates an induced current and an electromagnetic field of the induced current. The detection coil (120) provided in said pipeline (200) can receive a detection signal having a relatively high strength, facilitating improvement of a signal-to-noise ratio, thereby being able to identify double-layer or multi-layer wire breaking more effectively in cases of many wire breaking areas of said pipeline (200).
