Abstract:
The present invention provides a cage in which the occurrence of cage noise can be suppressed. A cage according to the present disclosure comprises: a body that forms a ring shape; a plurality of pockets that are provided along the circumferential direction and run through the body in the radial direction; and cage surfaces, each of which faces a ball and forms a C-shape as viewed from the radial direction. Each cage surface includes: a C-shaped outer circumferential angled portion; a C-shaped inner circumferential angled portion; a first cage surface that is disposed in a first rotation direction relative to the ball; and a second cage surface that is disposed in a second rotation direction relative to the ball. The first cage surface extends along a first spherical surface defined by rotating a first virtual circle about a virtual line passing through the axial center and the ball center. The second cage surface extends along a second spherical surface defined by rotating a second virtual circle about the virtual line. The first virtual circle and the second virtual circle are true circles and have radii that are greater than the ball radius. The center of the first virtual circle and the center of the second virtual circle are disposed more radially outward than a virtual plane that includes the ball center and is perpendicular to the virtual line.
