Provided is a device which can reliably detect, with a simple structure, abnormalities in a device in which multiple capacitive loads are connected to an alternative current power source. Disclosed is a capacitive load device in which a plurality of capacitive loads are connected in parallel and in which the group of the plurality of loads is supplied with a current from an alternative current power source, wherein the group of loads is divided into a plurality of small groups of loads. Moreover, the capacitive load device is provided with: a current detection sensor for detecting, at a location closer to the load relative to the branching location at which the plurality of small groups of loads was divided, the current flowing through at least one of the small groups of loads; and a current abnormality detecting unit for detecting abnormalities in the load by means of the current detection signal detected by the current detection sensor.
