Abstract:
The present invention relates to a carbon material for a negative electrode active material, the carbon material including coke with an average porosity of less than 2%, a negative electrode active material using same, and a lithium secondary battery. The negative electrode active material is manufactured using coke with an average porosity of less than 2%, and thus has an increased tap density and a reduced specific surface area. Accordingly, a lithium secondary battery manufactured using the negative electrode active material has superior initial efficiency and charging output.
