Abstract:
By processing a cell image, cells showing specific characters are separated from the noise and extracted to thereby enable the analysis of the same. It is intended to provide a cell image processor (1) which comprises: a characteristic amount measuring section (11) wherein a cell image obtained by photographing cells is processed and thus the characteristic amounts of the individual cells involved in the cell image are measured; a characteristic amount distribution forming section (12) wherein the distribution of the thus measured characteristic amounts is formed; a group forming section (13) wherein cells having continuously distributed characteristic amounts in the characteristic amount distribution thus formed is referred to as belonging to a group; and a specific cell extracting section (14) wherein cells having the characteristic amount falling within a definite range at the both limits of the characteristic amount distribution in the individual groups are extracted as specific cells.
