Title:
CHARACTERISTIC PATTERN OUTPUT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/040477
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A similar data extraction unit (32) in a characteristic pattern output device (21) extracts from a database (22) similar data similar to the input data received from an input data processing unit (31), binarizes it by a binarizing unit (33), and transmits it to a similar pattern set calculation unit (34) and an input data classifying unit (36). The similar pattern set calculating unit (34) calculates the maximum pattern set and the minimum pattern set for the class (P) and the class (N) based on the binarized similar data. The characteristic pattern set calculating unit (35) outputs the combination of items which characteristically appear for the class (P) and the class (N) from the maximum pattern set and the minimum pattern set as the characteristic pattern. The binarized similar data is compared with the characteristic pattern, and the input data is determined to be classified in the class (P) or the class (N).
