Title:
CIRCPOLK AS THERAPEUTIC TARGET AND DIAGNOSTIC BIOMARKER FOR TUMORS AND USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/155857
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the technical field of tumor diagnosis. Disclosed in the present invention are circPOLK as a therapeutic target and diagnostic biomarker for tumors and the use thereof. The nucleotide sequence of circPOLK is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 10, and circPOLK is a circular RNA formed by means of the reverse splicing of the exons 1-3 of POLK mRNA. Compared with normal patients, circPOLK in the blood exosome in patients with tumors shows a high expression. The expression of circPOLK is positively correlated with the migration, invasion and metastasis capacity of lung cancer cells, and lung cancer cells can secrete circPOLK by means of exosomes to promote the migration and invasion capacity of vascular endothelial cells. Therefore, circPOLK can be used as a therapeutic target and diagnostic biomarker for tumors, providing a new school of thought and direction for the development of therapeutic drugs and diagnostic products.
