Abstract:
A clamp device (1) is provided with a chuck (30) that can be opened and closed, and an operating portion (20) which moves in the axial direction of the chuck (30) to open and close the chuck (30), the clamp device (1) gripping a material (W) by means of the chuck (30) in response to the operating portion (20) causing the chuck (30) to adopt a closed state when the material (W) has been inserted into the chuck (30) in an open state, wherein a stopper (40) against which the material (W) that has been inserted into the chuck (30) is capable of abutting is provided, and the stopper (40) is linked to the operating portion (20) in such a way as to move the operating portion (20) in the direction closing the chuck (30) in response to the material (W) being pressed in the insertion direction thereof.
