Abstract:
A commodity search support system for searching for a commodity over a network using a computer by selecting an expression language corresponding to the expression form of the commodity. The user selects expression languages (13) comprising one character as search information on the screen over a network using a computer terminal (2) and inputs data in a symbol character input window (31). A data processing section (6) judges whether or not the search information is included in the identification code of the commodity to search the commodity in a commodity data storage section (5) and to narrow commodities. Therefore, even if the user does not know the name of the commodity nor the name of the author or the like, the commodity can be searched for through the contents of the commodity.
