Abstract:
This communication control device is provided with a prediction unit, a prediction accuracy calculation unit, a threshold value determination unit, and an assessment unit. The prediction unit predicts a future traffic volume transmitted over a communication link, on the basis of prediction information used to predict a traffic volume. The prediction accuracy calculation unit calculates prediction accuracy using information about the traffic volume in a first period as predicted by the prediction unit and information about the actual traffic volume on the communication link in the first period. The threshold value determination unit determines a threshold value for assessing congestion, on the basis of the prediction accuracy and the transmission capacity of the communication link. The assessment unit indicates a process for reducing the traffic on the communication link if the assessment unit assesses that congestion is predicted to occur on the basis of the information about the traffic volume in a second period after the first period as predicted by the prediction unit and the threshold value determined by the threshold value determination unit.
