Abstract:
A communication device (1) comprising a base station search unit (31) which has a function for directly communicating with a communication terminal that is another communication device and which searches for a base station with which the communication device (1) can directly communicate, a communication control unit (33) which constructs a communication path having a redundant configuration by carrying out connection processing with the base station retrieved by the base station search unit (31), and a communication terminal search unit (32) which searches for a communication terminal that has been connected to the base station. When the number of pieces of established direct communication with the base station is less than a number required for constructing the communication path having the redundant configuration, the communication control unit (33) constructs the communication path having the redundant configuration by establishing indirect communication with the base station via the communication terminal retrieved by the communication terminal search unit (32).
