Abstract:
In order to suppress the interference of spatial optical signals that are transmitted from a plurality of communication devices so as to arrive from the same direction and be directed in the same orientation, provided is a communication system comprising a plurality of communication devices each of which has: a first transmission/reception unit that transmits and receives, as spatial optical signals, first circularly-polarized optical signals having a counterclockwise rotation; and a second transmission/reception unit that transmits and receives, as spatial optical signals, second circularly-polarized optical signals having a clockwise rotation. Each among the plurality of communication devices is arranged such that a transmission/reception unit that transmits and receives circularly-polarized optical signals having the same rotational direction, from among the first transmission/reception unit and the second transmission/reception unit, faces another communication device with which the aforementioned communication device communicates.
