Abstract:
The present application provides a communication method and a related apparatus, applied to the field of multicast. The method comprises: a first terminal device obtains first multicast configuration parameters, the first multicast configuration parameters comprising a group-radio network temporary identifier (G-RNTI) and an identifier of a multicast service; and the first terminal device in an idle state or a non-activated state receives the multicast service according to the first multicast configuration parameters. On the basis of the solution, the problem in the prior art that a terminal device in an idle state or a non-activated state is not supported to obtain a multicast service is solved.
