Abstract:
A communication method and apparatus, which are used for improving the feedback precision for channel state information. The method comprises: a terminal device receiving N pilot signals that are sent by network devices by means of N CSI resources, and performing channel measurement on the N CSI resources on the basis of the corresponding pilot signals; and the terminal device then sending channel state information to the network devices, wherein the channel state information comprises an identifier of a first CSI resource and a PMI, the N CSI resources correspond to the N pilot signals on a one-to-one basis, the N pilot signals correspond to mapping relationships between antenna ports of N types of network devices and transceiving antennas of the network devices, and at least two of the mapping relationships between the antenna ports of the N types of network devices and the transceiving antennas of the network devices are different, or the N pilot signals correspond to N inter-polarization phases, and at least two of the N inter-polarization phases are different. In this way, the feedback precision for channel state information can be improved, such that a precoding matrix that is determined by a network device better matches a channel.
