Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition containing a mixture of an unripe apple extract and baicalin. As the composition comprising a mixture of an unripe apple extract and baicalin as active ingredients of the present invention is excellent in inhibitory activity of tyrosinase, elastase, and collagenase, the composition is effective in skin whitening, antioxidation, and wrinkle improvement. Also, as the composition inhibits skin flora and has an excellent inhibitory effect on the expression of iNOS and NO, the composition has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. Moreover, the composition can be safely used in cosmetic compositions, pharmaceutical compositions and food compositions because the composition lacks cytotoxicity and skin side effects.
