Abstract:
A contact detection device (10) in which an AC power supply (11) applies, while switching between, a first AC voltage and a second AC voltage having different frequencies, onto a first electrode layer (22) and a second electrode layer (23), the contact detection device (10) comprising: a storage unit (34) that stores an alternative quadrature component (QA) corresponding to a state in which a conductor is in contact with an electrostatic sensor (7); a quadrature component comparison unit (31) that makes a comparison between a first quadrature component (Q1) extracted when the first AC voltage is applied onto the second electrode layer (23) and a second quadrature component (Q2) extracted when a second AC voltage is applied onto the second electrode layer (23); and a contact determining unit (33) that detects contact by a conductor on the basis of the first quadrature component (Q1) if the first quadrature component (Q1) and the second quadrature component (Q2) are within the range of a first quadrature error (ΔQE1), and detects contact by a conductor on the basis of the alternative quadrature component (QA) if the first quadrature component (Q1) and the second quadrature component (Q2) are outside the range of the first quadrature error (ΔQE1).
