Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to enable content which includes a mixture of 2D images and 3D images to be downloaded, and to enable switching between, and reproduction of, the 2D images and the 3D images on a receiver for reproduction, without any screen disturbance. A reception device that downloads and reproduces image content acquires, from a server via a network, picture position information of each picture within the image content and 3D identifier information that indicates whether a picture is a 3D image. The reception device is characterized in that during image content reproduction, when special reproduction processing is performed on the basis of picture position information, if the 3D identifier information of the picture that begins reproduction indicates 3D, the image content is displayed in 3D.
