Abstract:
A control device 220 controls focusing positions of a plurality of cameras that perform imaging from a plurality of directions in order to generate a virtual viewpoint image. More specifically, the control device 220 acquires an imaging parameter related to imaging by one or more cameras included in a camera group 100. The control device 220 then controls a focusing position of an object camera corresponding to the acquired imaging parameter on the basis of the imaging parameter such that the distance from the object camera to the focusing position of the object camera becomes shorter than the distance from the object camera to a gaze point.
