Abstract:
[Problem] To enable pen signals to be sufficiently received by a peripheral sensor electrode, even when a cover film that is thinner and has a smaller relative permittivity than a cover glass is used. [Solution] A cover film 5 for pen sensors, the cover film 5 being used together with a pen sensor 4 that includes a plurality of sensor electrodes, and a sensor controller 2 that detects the position of an active pen P on the basis of the distribution of signal levels corresponding to the quantity of electric charges that are induced in each of the plurality of sensor electrodes by a pen signal transmitted from a pen-tip electrode provided at the tip of the active pen P. The cover film 5 includes an electroconductive resin that is positioned so as to cover an effective area EA for detection of the position of the active pen P, the effective area EA being formed by the plurality of sensor electrodes, and that has an almost uniform resistive component within at least the range of the effective area EA.
