Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide a cup lid for allowing a beverage to be discharged so that a user can drink it conveniently regardless of whether a beverage contained in a cup is cold or hot. Such a cup lid includes a lid body arranged for covering a cup where a beverage is contained, wherein an upper side having a tilted wall side is formed as a depressed state, and the upper side is also formed facing the tilted wall side for forming a downward tilted surface; a concave inlet groove formed in the tilted wall side and including a tilted concave inlet groove and a discharge hole formed in the lid body by penetrating for collecting the beverage to a position on the upper side of the lid body and then, preventing a sudden flowing of the beverage when drinking the beverage via the discharge hole, for adjusting the amount of the beverage precisely, and for enabling flowing of the beverage to be collected.

Claims

[ 1 ] A cup lid comprising, a lid body arranged for covering a cup where a beverage is contained, wherein an upper side having a tilted wall side is formed as a depressed state, and the upper side is also formed facing the tilted wall side for forming a downward tilted surface; a tilted concave inlet groove formed in the tilted wall side and including a tilted concave inlet groove and a discharge hole formed in the lid body by penetrating for collecting the beverage to a position on the upper side of the lid body and then, preventing a sudden flowing of the beverage when drinking the beverage via the discharge hole, for adjusting the amount of the beverage precisely, and for enabling flowing of the beverage to be collected.

[2] The cup lid set forth in the claim 1, wherein an irregularity portion is further formed in the tilted concave inlet groove.

[3] The cup lid set forth in the claim 1, wherein a ventilation hole is further formed at a position apart from the discharge hole in the lid body.

[4] The cup lid set forth in the claim 1, wherein the discharge hole is formed on a tiled surface of the tilted concave inlet groove or the downward tilted surface, or is formed up to the tiled surface of tilted the concave inlet groove at a portion contacting with the downward tilted surface.

[5] The cup lid set forth in the claim 1, wherein a sealing opening is formed with the discharge hole for sealing the discharge hole, and a projection which can be pulled manually is formed on the sealing opening.

Description A CUP LID

Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to a cup lid, and in particular, relates to a cup lid for allowing a user to drink a hot beverage conveniently by preventing a sudden flowing of the hot beverage while it is being discharged from the cup even when the hot beverage is contained in a cup and a user wants to drink the beverage, and by adjusting the amount of the beverage precisely while it is flowing through a tilted concave inlet groove; and for allowing a user to drink a cold beverage conveniently by preventing a sudden flowing of the cold beverage while it is being discharged from the cup even when the cold beverage is contained in a cup; and by adjusting the amount of the beverage precisely while it is flowing through a tilted concave inlet groove. [2] Generally speaking, the beverages which are selling for a take-out in the fast food restaurants or the coffee shops have been contained in a disposable cup formed by a plastic material or a paper, and then sold to the consumers. A cup lid is formed on an upper side of a disposable cup for covering the cup completely for preventing foreign materials from penetrating into the disposable cup where the beverages are contained and protecting the beverages from being projected outside due to shaking movements.

[3] In this way, one embodiment of the cup lid covering the disposal cup is illustrated in

FIG. 15.

[4] As shown in FIG. 15, a cup lid is generally manufactured by a plastic material, and a discharge hole 21 is formed for allowing a user to drink the beverage contained inside a cup 1 without removing a cup lid 2 from the cup 1.

[5] A user to drink the beverage can drink the beverage by inserting a straw into the cup or can drink the beverage contained inside the cup 1 by contacting the lips with the cup lid 2 via the discharge hole 2a. That is, even if a user does not use a tool such as a straw via the discharge hole 2a, the user can drink the beverage contained inside the cup without removing the cup lid 2 from the cup so that he can use the cup conveniently during walking or driving, or other outdoor activities.

Disclosure of Invention

Technical Problem

[6] However, in connection with such a conventional cup, there is a problem that a mouth of a user may be damaged if the beverage contained in the cup is a hot coffee or a tea when drinking the beverage by contacting the mouth to the cup lid 2 via the discharge hole 2a. That is, the beverage contained in the cup 1 contacts with the mouth

of the user suddenly, and thus the mouth is damaged. Therefore, when a hot beverage is contained in the cup, it is not very comfortable and convenient for a user to drink the hot beverage. Technical Solution

[7] The object of the present invention is to provide a cup lid for allowing a user to drink a hot beverage conveniently by preventing a sudden flowing of the hot beverage while it is flowing out from the cup even when the hot beverage is contained in a cup and a user wants to drink the beverage, and by adjusting the amount of the beverage precisely while it is flowing through a tilted concave inlet groove; and for allowing a user to drink a cold beverage conveniently by preventing a sudden flowing of the cold beverage while it is flowing out from the cup even when the cold beverage is contained in a cup; and by adjusting the amount of the beverage precisely while it is flowing through a tilted concave inlet groove. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

[29] In order to accomplish the above object, a cup lid of the present invention includes a lid body arranged for covering a cup where a beverage is contained, wherein an upper side having a tilted wall side is formed as a depressed state, and the upper side is also formed facing the tilted wall side for forming a downward tilted surface; a concave inlet groove formed in the tilted wall side and including a tilted concave inlet groove and a discharge hole formed in the lid body by penetrating for collecting the beverage to a position on the upper side of the lid body and then, preventing a sudden flowing of the beverage when drinking the beverage via the discharge hole, for adjusting the amount of the beverage precisely, and for enabling flowing of the beverage to be collected.

[30] The discharge hole can be formed on a tiled surface of the tilted concave inlet groove(refers to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6) or the downward tilted surface(refers to FIG. 16), or is formed up to the tiled surface of the concave inlet groove(refers to FIG. 11 and FIG. 12) at a portion contacting with the downward tilted surface.

[31] Further, an irregularity portion can be further formed in the tilted concave inlet groove. A ventilation hole can also be further formed at a position apart from the discharge hole in the lid body.

[32] Further, a sealing opening can be formed with the discharge hole for sealing the discharge hole, and a projection which can be pulled manually can be formed on the sealing opening.

Mode for the Invention

[33] Below, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be explained in more detail with referring to the attached drawings.

[34] FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a cup lid according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a plane view of a cup lid shown in FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a bottom view of a cup lid shown in FIG. 1.

[35] The cup lid according to the present invention is used for covering a cup for containing a hot beverage or a cold beverage, and includes a lid body 110. The lid

body 110 has a tilted wall side 112 formed as a depressed state on an upper side thereof, and the upper side of the lid body 110 is arranged facing the tilted wall side 112 for forming a downward tilted surface 114.

[36] Further, a discharge hole 122 is formed by penetration for allowing a hot beverage or a cold beverage contained in a cup to be flowed out, and a tilted concave inlet groove 120 is formed in the tilted wall side 112 for enabling the beverage to be collected to a position on the upper side of the lid body 110 when drinking the beverage via the discharge hole 122. Here, it is preferable that the discharge hole 122 is formed on a tiled surface of the tilted concave inlet groove 120(refers to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6) or the downward tilted surface 114(refers to FIG. 16), or is formed up to the tilted surface of the tilted concave inlet groove 120(refers to FIG. 11 and FIG. 12) at a portion contacting with the downward tilted surface 114.

[37] According to the present invention, it is possible for a user to drink a cold beverage or a hot beverage accommodated into a cup via the tilted concave inlet groove 120. That is, if the hot beverage is flowed out via the discharge hole 122, the flowing speed of the hot beverage can be delayed, the amount of the hot beverage can be adjusted precisely while the discharged hot beverage is being collected to one position from the upper side of the lid body 110 by the downward tilted surface 114 and the tilted concave inlet groove 120, and is flowing through the tilted concave inlet groove 120. Thus, it is possible to drink the hot beverage while cooling it, and as a result, a state in which the hot beverage can be drunk safely is obtained. This situation is illustrated in detail in FIG. 7.

[38] In particular, according to the present invention, when the discharged beverage is entered into the cup once again so that a beverage can be drunk via discharge hole 122, since the discharge hole 122 can be formed on an entire portions of the tilted concave inlet groove 120 to the maximum height, there is a merit that the remnants can be entered into the cup without leaving beverages on the upper side of the lid body 110. That is, when the discharged beverage discharged to the upper side of the lid body 110 is entered into the cup once again, it can be entered into the cup swiftly without leaving any beverages on the upper side of the lid body 110.

[39] FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an embodiment of a modified cup lid according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating a plane view of a cup lid shown in FIG. 5. FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a cross-sectional view of a cup lid shown in FIG. 1. FIG. 7 is a diagram explaining the state when drinking a beverage using a cup lid shown in FIG. 4.

[40] The modified embodiment of the present invention is different from the first embodiment in that the structure of the modified embodiment in which the height of the discharge hole 122 of the first embodiment formed on a tiled surface of the tilted

concave inlet groove 120 reaches the foremost upper side of the tilted wall side 112 where the tilted concave inlet groove 120 is formed. Further, in the modified embodiment, those which are identical to the structure elements of the first embodiment are denoted by the same symbols.

[41] In this way, if the height of the discharge hole 122 is formed such that it can reach the foremost upper side of the tilted wall side 112, it is possible to drink the beverage without leaving any remaining beverage contained in the cup 1 inside the cup. That is, when the beverage contained in the cup 1 is discharged to outside via the discharge hole 122, the remnants of the beverage do not remain in the cup 10 since the discharge hole 122 is formed even on the upper side of the lid body 110.

[42] Especially, as shown in FIG. 7 of the present invention, the beverage contained in the cup 10 is drunk by slanting the cup 10 toward the side where the discharge hole 122 is formed. At this time, the beverage contained in the cup 10 is discharged to the upper side of the lid body 110 via the discharge hole 122, and is collected to one position by the downward tilted surface 114 and the tilted concave inlet groove 120. Therefore, a sudden flowing is prevented and a fine adjustment of the amount of the beverage can be made while it is flowing through the tilted concave inlet groove 120. As a result, it becomes possible to drink the beverage conveniently.

[43] FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating another embodiment of a modified cup lid according to the first embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating a plane view of a cup lid according to the modified embodiment shown in FIG. 8. FIG. 10 is a diagram illustrating a cup lid according to the first embodiment of the present invention.

[44] In the modified embodiment illustrated in FIG. 8, FIG, 9 and FIG. 10 of the present invention, an irregular portion 124a is formed additionally to the tilted concave inlet groove 120 of the first embodiment. That is, this modified embodiment is different from the above-mentioned embodiments since it has the structure in which the irregular portion 124a is formed on the surface of the tilted concave inlet groove 120 in the vicinity of the discharge hole 122. Further, in the modified embodiment, those which are identical to the structure elements of the first embodiment are denoted by the same symbols.

[45] In this way, if the irregular portion 124a is formed on the surface of the tilted concave inlet groove 120 in the vicinity of the discharge hole 122, it can be possible to guide the flowing direction of the beverage discharged via the discharge hole 122 and collected by the downward tilted surface 114 and the tilted concave inlet groove 120. That is, according to the direction of the irregular portion 124a, the hot beverage or the cold beverage can flow while they are being guided.

[46] FIG. 11 is a diagram illustrating a cup lid according to the second embodiment of the

present invention. FIG. 12 is a diagram illustrating a cross-sectional view of a cup lid shown in FIG. 11. FIG. 13 is a diagram illustrating a cross- sectional view along I-I 1 line of FIG. 12.

[47] In this second embodiment of the present invention, as compared with the above- mentioned embodiments, there are differences only in terms of the shape and the type of the lid body 110. The second embodiment is same as the above-mentioned embodiments in terms of the structure and the functions. That is, there is a difference in terms of the shape of the type of the tilted wall side 112 formed in the lid body 110. Further, in this second embodiment of the present invention, those which are identical to the structure elements of the first embodiment are denoted by the same symbols.

[48] Like the second embodiment of the present invention, if the tilted wall side 112 is formed with a slight slope and the tilted concave inlet groove 120 is formed in the tilted wall side 112, the beverage flowing through the tilted concave inlet groove 120 can be further delayed. That is, as illustrated in FIG. 7, since the beverage flows depending on the inclined level of the cup and the tilt angle of the tilted wall side 112, a sudden flowing of the hot beverage as well as the cold beverage is prevented and a fine adjustment of the amount of the beverage can be made while it is flowing through the tilted concave inlet groove 120. As a result, it becomes possible to drink the beverage conveniently.

[49] Further, the reference number 126 shown in FIG 1-FIG. 12 and FIG. 14 denotes a ventilation hole, and the ventilation hole 126 is formed on the opposite side of the discharge hole 122. When the beverage is discharged via the discharge hole 122, since the outside air is introduced into the cup via the ventilation hole 126, the beverage can be discharged via the discharge hole 112.

[50] FIG. 14 is a cross-section diagram illustrating an embodiment of a modified cup lid according to the second embodiment of the present invention.

[51] In this modified embodiment, an irregular portion 124b is formed additionally to the tilted concave inlet groove 120 of the second embodiment. That is, since the irregular portion 124b is formed on the upper side of the discharge hole 122 in the tilted concave inlet groove 120, flowing of the beverage introduced into the tilted concave inlet groove 120 can be delayed.

[52] In this way, if the irregular portion 124b is formed on the surface of the tilted concave inlet groove 120, flowing of the hot beverage discharged along the tilted concave inlet groove 120 can be further delayed. That is, since flowing of the beverage is stopped intermittently by the irregular portion 124b, a user can drink the beverage flowing along the tilted concave inlet groove 120 more conveniently.

[53] The cup lid according to the first and second embodiments of the present invention can adjust the drinking amount of the cold beverage by delaying the beverage

introduced into the tilted concave inlet groove 120. It is possible to drink the beverage by inserting a straw into the discharge hole 122, or by allowing the beverage to be discharged via the discharge hole 122 without using a straw while the cup is being inclined as illustrated in FIG. 7 when the cup 10 where the hot beverage(for example, coffee, etc.) is contained is used under the covered state.

[54] In this way, when drinking the beverage without using a straw, it is possible to drink the hot beverage contained in the cup 10. That is, if the hot beverage flows along the tilted concave inlet groove 120, the discharge speed of the beverage flowing through the irregular portion 124b formed in the tilted concave inlet groove 120 can be delayed. Thus, a sudden flowing of the hot beverage is prevented and a fine adjustment of the amount of the beverage can be made while it is flowing through the tilted concave inlet groove 120. As a result, it becomes possible to drink the beverage conveniently, and the mouth of a user can be protected from damages.

[55] Further, the discharge hole 122 is formed on a tiled surface of the tilted concave inlet groove 120(refers to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6) or the downward tilted surface 114(refers to FIG. 16), or is formed up to the tilted surface of the tilted concave inlet groove 120(refers to FIG. 11 and FIG. 12) at a portion contacting with the downward tilted surface 114.

[56] FIG. 17 and FIG. 18 are diagrams illustrating another embodiment of a modified cup lid of the present invention. A sealing opening 131 is formed integrally with the discharge hole 122 so that the discharge hole 122 can be sealed for drinking a beverage at a desired time.

[57] Further, a projection 130 which can be pulled manually is formed on the upper side of the sealing opening 131.

[58] Therefore, when a user wants to drink a beverage, the user using the cup lid according to the modified embodiment illustrated in FIG. 17 and FIG. 18 of the present invention can drink a beverage conveniently by pulling the projection 130 of the sealing opening 131 sealing the discharge hole 122, and then removing the sealing opening 131 from the cup lid.

[59] Further, according to the present invention, even when the cold beverage is contained in the cup, during a discharge time of the beverage, a sudden flowing of the cold beverage is prevented and a fine adjustment of the amount of the beverage can be made while it is flowing through the tilted concave inlet groove. As a result, it becomes possible to drink the beverage conveniently.

[60] In this way, according to the present invention, when drinking a beverage, it is possible to drink the beverage conveniently by forming a terminal portion of the tilted concave inlet groove 120 very sharply. In short, since the terminal portion of the tilted concave inlet groove 120 is very sharply, it is possible for a user to drink a beverage

cleanly and safely via this terminal portion.

[61] According to the present invention, since it is possible to drink a beverage while the discharged beverage is being collected to the upper side of the lid body, it is possible to drink the cold beverage while adjusting the amount thereof. In a case of the hot beverage, there is an advantage that it is possible to drink the hot beverage conveniently by delaying the flowing speed thereof, and then cooling it. Industrial Applicability

[62] According to the present invention, in a case that a hot beverage is contained in a cup, a sudden flowing of the beverage can be prevented while the beverage is being discharged, and a fine adjustment of the amount of the beverage can be made while it is flowing along the tilted concave inlet groove. In this way, since the cup has a cooling function, there is an effect that a user can drink the hot beverage conveniently.

[63] In addition, even in a case that a cold beverage is contained in a cup, a sudden flowing of the beverage can be prevented while the beverage is being discharged, and a fine adjustment of the amount of the beverage can be made while it is flowing along the tilted concave inlet groove. Thus, there is an effect that a user can drink the hot beverage conveniently.
