Abstract:
Disclosed are a custom setting method and starting method for a control button, and a display device. During custom setting, a controller presents a favorites list in a user interface in response to a starting control instruction generated when a control button is triggered, and then establishes a mapping relationship between a target application icon and the control button in response to a custom setting instruction generated when a custom setting icon displayed on the target application icon in the favorites list is triggered. During starting, when the received starting control instruction is a short-press instruction, the controller starts an application corresponding to the target application icon having the mapping relationship with the control button.
