Abstract:
Disclosed is a device control apparatus that does not require polling of devices by a client apparatus and that is capable of reducing traffic upon a network. A device server (200), according to device information for identifying devices that are locally connected to a device server (200), acquires a trigger detection algorithm and/or a definition file for monitoring state changes of devices identified by the device information, and on the basis of the acquired trigger detection algorithm and/or definition file, monitors devices locally connected, and if a state change of a device is detected, transmits a trigger notification indicating detection of the state change through a network (500) to client PCs (100), and according to a connection request from a client PC (100) that has received the trigger notification, starts a session with the client PC (100).
