Abstract:
Provided is a device for determining the amount of a heavy metal fixing agent to add, with which it is possible to treat residual ash readily and at low cost. A device for determining the amount of a heavy metal fixing agent to add to fly ash H, provided with: a collection unit 10 for collecting fly ash H1 from a fly ash transportation path 2; a weighing unit 20 for weighing a prescribed amount of weighed ash H2 from the fly ash H1 collected by the collection unit 10; an elution unit 30 for eluting the prescribed amount of weighed ash H2 into a solvent and obtaining elution water; an analysis/control unit (addition amount determining unit) 40 for determining, on the basis of the amount of heavy metal contained in the elution water, the amount of a heavy metal fixing agent to be added to the fly ash H; and a discharge unit 24 for discharging residual ash H3 (H1-H2) remaining in the weighing unit 20 to a location different from the elution unit 30 (fly ash transportation path 2). The discharge unit 24 discharges the residual ash H3 to a location different from the elution unit 30, even when the amount of the heavy metal fixing agent to be added to the fly ash H has been determined by the analysis/control unit 40.
