| AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 13 February 2013 (13.02.2013) 1. An electronic device for eradication of red palm weevils and many other stem borers and termites, using electro-magnetic waves. 2. A device as in claim 1 with electro-magnetic field producing a frequency of just 15KHZ. 3. A device as claimed in claim 1 & 2, which has no thermal energy at all. 4. A device as claimed in calim1 &3 where electromagnetic waves frequency is low enough (just 15KHZ) _this is unique_ to destroy the nervous system' of the weevil in half to an hour. 5. A devise as claimed from 1-4, using besides the electromagnetic energy, a source of a helping circuit of magnetic field like a belt of wires surrounding the infection site, creating an unsuitable habitat for the weevil to survive. 6. A device as claimed in any of claims from 1 to 5 whose electromagnetic waves are passed to the stem of the pklm tree through rods connected to devise through wires. 7. A mobile apparatus for the eradication of red palm weevils and other tree stem borers and termites', composed of a source of electromagnetic waves , a power supply, means for transmitting said waves into the trunk: (two leads and wires; up to 15 meters for high stem infection sites), with a weight of (only 2-3 Kgs) with all its components inclusive. 8. A device as claimed in claims from 1 to 7, which is very economic and safe as such: power supply input is 220 volts, and could use a source of only 12 volts or a solar system source, and only 100 Wa;tts consumption. 9. Novelty as claimed in claims 1 to 8, with a very effective and safe output: just 15KHZ frequency of the electromagnetic waves, and no dangerous destructive thermal energy, helped by a built of magnetic field, that is all enough to destroy the nervous system of the weevil. 10. An inventive step to have all said usefulness in such a handy, effective, safe, & economic device of 2-3 Kgs, and thus no need for trucks to move to work field. |

The mainly method now used for control, is applying insecticides; by spraying palm trees, fumigation or injection.
All used chemicals are very poisonous for man, animal and plant, with effect lasting for months for insecticide residues.

6- The site of in fection, is then treated with sulphur.
7- Holes of infection, then get closed.
