An organic EL display is efficiently produced. A drive circuit substrate (100) on which a drive circuit composed of a thin−film transistor (11) is provided is bonded to a light−emitting substrate (300) on which a transparent electrode layer (31), a bank layer (32) made of an insulator, a hole injecting layer (33), an organic EL layer (34), and a cathode layer (36) are formed, thus producing a light−emitting device (1000).
