Abstract:

This contactless power transfer device (1) is equipped with: a power-feeding circuit (13) for supplying electric power which should be transferred between a power-feeding coil (L1) and power-receiving coil (L2), the relative position and/or orientation between which can be changed; a displacement measurement unit (14) for measuring a displacement of the relative position or orientation, whichever is changeable, between the power-feeding coil (L1) and power-receiving coil (L2); and a control unit (15) that obtains, on the basis of the measurement result of the displacement measurement unit (14), a frequency at which the efficiency of the power transfer between the power-feeding coil (L1) and the power-receiving coil (L2) can be maximized, and controls the power-feeding circuit (13) such that electric power having this frequency is transferred between the power-feeding coil (L1) and the power-receiving coil (L2). According to the present invention, a device and a method for contactless power transfer that enable efficient contactless power transfer even in the event of a change in the relative positional relationship between the coils can be provided.
