Abstract:
A device and method for convolution operation. The device comprises: a plurality of multipliers (202), configured to receive matrix elements of two matrices, and respectively multiply corresponding matrix elements to generate a plurality of product elements; a plurality of distributed caches (204), each comprising a plurality of cache units, and configured to respectively store the plurality of product elements in the corresponding cache units; a register delay chain (206), comprising a plurality of registers coupled in series, and configured to receive read control signals, delay the read control signals step by step to output step-by-step delayed read control signals, and respectively provide the plurality of distributed caches (204) with the read control signals and the step-by-step delayed read control signals; and an accumulation circuit (208), configured to receive the product elements in the cache units corresponding to the read control signals and the step-by-step delayed read control signals, and generate accumulation data on the basis of the received product elements. The present application can be used in the field of artificial intelligence, and in particular in the field of automatic driving.
