A device 1 for a vehicle of this embodiment comprises a control unit 101 capable of executing a function provided when peripheral equipment 3 is accessible and the vehicle is utilized, a connection unit 5 connected to an external device 2 capable of communicating with the control unit 101 and capable of executing a function provided when the vehicle is utilized, and a data management unit 13 that enables data stored in the external device 2 to be utilized when the external device 2 is connected to the connection unit 5.
