Abstract:
The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a novel method of producing a miniature rDEA. Another purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a miniature rDEA. The present disclosure provides a method of producing a wound dielectric elastomer actuator, the method comprising: a winding step for winding at least one pair of complementary electrode layers and a dielectric elastomer layer around a core to obtain a wound body; a change step for changing the state of the core after the winding step; and a removal step for removing the core from the wound body after the change step. The present disclosure also provides a dielectric elastomer actuator comprising a wound body of a laminate of at least one pair of complementary electrode layers and a dielectric elastomer layer, the thickness of the laminate being 200 μm or less.
