Abstract:
This differential device (1) comprises: a differential case (2) that rotates about a first rotating axis (3) and has a spherical shell shape along the first rotating axis (3); a first pinion gear pair (41) that rotates about a second rotating axis (4) that is perpendicular to the first rotating axis (3), and is disposed inside the differential case (2); a second pinion gear pair (51) that rotates about a third rotating axis (5) that is perpendicular to the first rotating axis (3) and the second rotating axis (4), and is disposed inside the differential case (2); a side gear pair (31) that meshes at a right angle with the first pinion gear pair (41) and the second pinion gear pair (51), rotates about the first rotating shaft (3), and is disposed rotatably with the differential case (2); and a pinion gear support member (53) that is disposed on the rear surface of the second pinion gear pair (51), and is installed in an opening (2b) of the differential case (2) further toward the first rotating axis (3) side than an end surface (5c) of a pinion gear support shaft (5b) that supports the second pinion gear pair (51) on the third rotating axis (5).
