Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a discontinuous reception method and an apparatus. When at least meeting the condition that a DRX on-duration timer started in a current DRX cycle period does not exceed the time, and a DRX inactivity timer started in the current DRX cycle period exceeds the time, the DRX on-duration timer started in the current DRX cycle period is stopped, so that unnecessary PDCCH monitoring can be reduced, thereby reducing the power consumption of a terminal, and prolonging the endurance time of a terminal battery.
