This display device (10) comprises: a substrate (4) including a transistor; an insulating film (21) formed on the substrate, and having a recessed portion; a first pixel electrode (K1) formed on an upper surface of the insulating film; a first light emitting layer (E1) formed above the first pixel electrode, and overlapping the first pixel electrode in plan view; and a second light emitting layer (E2) formed in the recessed portion (21y) of the insulating film.
