Abstract:
A display device such as a sign, indicator, indicating board and sign board, and a display system using these, wherein a plurality of optical fibers are embedded in the display portion of a display device so as to expose optical diffusion ends according to a specified pattern, and a laser beam is used as light to be introduced into the optical fibers to thereby produce on the display portion an optical display pattern formed by the plurality of optical diffusion ends, for an accurate viewing by an observer, even in the dark, in the presence of a shield such as fallen snow and ice deposited on the display portion of the display device, or when visibility is obstructed.
