Description:
DISPOSABLE CONTAINER FOR FOOD TO TAKE AWAY PROVIDED WITH BOTH A GLASS HOLDER AND A PAPER-SERVIETTE HOLDER Description Field of the Art It is usual nowadays to buy food and take it away for its consumption at home, in a place of work, in a car or anywhere it is allowed and preferable to eat in order to meet individual requirements.

Pizza is certainly a food among those being taken away more frequently than others. It is sold in a disposable container of known type, generally made of cardboard, which serves often as a dish to consume pizza without displacing it into a real dish.

The containers of this type known allow generally pizza or other products of rotisserie to be sustained.

Summary of the invention The object of this invention is proposed as a solution to optimize the use of the container that, in the front base, has been provided with suitable apertures, each being a housing designed to receive a glass or a tin of beverage and a housing for a paper serviette or a disposable kit of paper serviette and flatware, which often is provided by shopkeepers with the container filled with the purchased products.

This invention is constituted by a disposable container, preferably made of cardboard, having in its upper part an aperture that is performed to fit therein a glass or tin and an aperture that is performed to fit therein a paper serviette or a disposable pre- packaged kit of flatware and paper serviette. Further, the container according to the invention is provided with tabs that are put in suitable correspondent slots formed in such a manner that, after opening the container, a part of its upper face can be folded

and fixed by the tabs which shall provided a steady base independent of the housing of the pizza and where what above said can be housed.

Brief description of the drawings The invention will be described in detail also with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: fig. 1 of sheet I is a diagrammatic plan view of the container when closed; fig. 2 of sheet II is a diagrammatic view of the container when completely opened; fig. 3 of sheet III is a diagrammatic plan view of the container being folded for the final use.

Description of an embodiment of the invention In fig. 1 of sheet I a container 1 is represented in plan, in the upper surface 2 of the closing part 3 of which there is an aperture 4 designed to the fitting of a paper serviette or a little bag containing a disposable kit of flatware and paper serviette into the aperture 4; further, there is a spokelike aperture 5 designed to the fitting of a glass or a tin into it; folding lines 6 and 7; two die-cut tab 8 having respective folding points 9 and 10 to be used subsequently to fix the upper part 3.

In fig. 2 of sheet II the container 1 is represented completely opened. In the internal surface 11 of the upper part 3 there are two die-cut tab 8, which are opened by means of a circular grip 12, and this is done very easily by virtue of the suitable die- cut folding points 9 and 10. Each circular grip 12 is fitted in a respective proper aperture 13, also this aperture 13 being formed by suitable die-cut points of folding to make its use easy in fixing the folded part 11 through the die-cut folding line 6 and 7 and the die-cut folding line and forming a rectangular base having the depth given by the two parallel die-cut folding lines. In such a way, an extension of the container will

be obtained that will receive the paper serviette and the glass in the proper housing 4 and 5. The pizza will be perfectly housed in the internal space 17, where it can be consumed as in a dish.

It must be observed that the stability of the container is given just by the fact that the upper part 3, after being folded and fixed, forms a sturdy base, which holds and balances all what can be contained even if the container is not supported properly by a flat support such a table as usually. In fact the container 1, when opened in the final condition, as shown in fig. 3 of sheet III, can be used operatively, being sustained by the hands or, for example, on the legs in a sitting condition of a consumer.

The other die-cut folding lines 18,19, and 20 are performed to fold up readily the container 1 in the erection thereof for the use, since such containers are sold generally to the shopkeeper not erected for obvious reasons connected to its bulkiness; then they are subsequently folded up and erected for the use according to the needs.

Circular elements 21 engage apertures 22 to fix side edges and give depth to the container 1, and a fin 23 is folded up on itself for giving sturdiness to the container 1 and as an element necessary to a slit 24, which is designed to receive a member 25 of the upper part for the complete closure of the container 1. A half-circular aperture 26 is performed anatomically for opening and closing readily the container.

In fig. 3 of sheet III the container is shown in plan opened for the final use. The internal space 17 adapted to house particularly pizza as above said and a base 27 which is formed when the upper part is folded are shown. The dotted lines 28,29, and 30 are represented for clarity sake with respect to the above description. In particular, the dotted lines 29 show the tab opened and fixed, and the dotted lines 30 show the housing empty by now, as results after the use of the tabs 8.

In particular, the aperture 5 is die-cut with a circular part 30 detachable by a simple push, in order to spokelike elements 31 are free and permit a glass or a tin can be readily fitted, acting as brakes for perfectly holding the same object.

In this description the figures show a typical container for pizzas to take away, but it can contain also other kind of food, if its dimensions are modified.
