This driving assistance device: detects the traveling position of an own vehicle with respect to a traveling lane; performs driving assistance including at least one of report and steering assistance, if the traveling position of the own vehicle meets a prescribed condition; and changes, when having received a change instruction for the degree of driving-assistance intervention, the degree of driving-assistance intervention on the basis of the change instruction.
